Inkspots Announce New Show

Carpinteria-based artist Beverly Decker will present her work “Stay” at the Inkspots show “Press On” at 643 Project Space.

The Inkspots of San Buenaventura will present “Press On,” a collection of new works by Ventura County’s only printmaking group in the exhibit, at 643 Project Space in Ventura. “Press On” is the collective’s 11th annual exhibition of new works on paper. The exhibition will be held from Nov. 2 to Nov. 30, 2018, with an artist opening reception on Nov. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. During the First Friday ArtWalk, there will be a free drawing for the Inkspots 2018 FOLIO (10 original prints) at 7 p.m.

The inkspots of San Buenaventura are a group of artists dedicated to creating original prints using a variety of techniques including, etching, collagraph, linocut, monoprint, monotype, woodblock and digital manipulation.

Artists hail from Carpinteria, Ventura, Ojai, Summerland and Santa Barbara. This year’s exhibit will include works by Christina Altfeld, Beverly Decker, Virginia Furmanski, Rosemarie C. Gebhart, Judy Gibbs, Bay Howell, Tiger Huang, Colleen M. Kelly, Sandra McCullough, Inés Monguió, Leslie Plimpton and Monica Wiesblott.
