Member News: Bay Hallowell

Selected prints by Bay Hallowell will be on view at Youth Interactive’s State Gallery in Santa Barbara during April 2019.  This solo exhibition was curated by Crista Dix in honor of Poetry Month.  Inspired by provocative words and phrases, Hallowell allows the letters that form them to lead her into explorations of shapes, colors, textures and space to create layers of meaning. While her topics are serious, improvisation and imagination permeate her prints— some serious word play at work!
